‘10 local architects said it’s impossible to get permission from the Council, but Gartwork achieved it.’
‘We told our idea to many local architects in Harrow, and all of them said we would never receive permission for enlargement of the loft because the whole mews has a uniform design. Gartwork carried out a planning analysis and wrote a statement about why we should get it. During the pre-application stage, we were told no by the Council and we were going to appeal, however, Gartwork defended our case and in the end, we received the planning permission. We think this happened only due to Gartwork writing a clever statement proving our case and passionately negotiating it with the Council.’

‘We wanted a high ceiling rear extension but got objections from neighbours.’
It has been our Clients’ dream for a long time to have a high ceiling rear extension where all the family gathers and spends time together. They already had a 2.7m partial extension and it was decided to transform it into a bright, modern, and open-plan space with a height of 3.4m. Unfortunately we got objections from the neighbours, as their extensions were as low as 2.7and 2.2m. However, upon discussion with the Council, we were able to demonstrate that despite the difference in heights, our proposal did not impact the neighbouring properties.
